Sony COF Board Repair and Replacement Service by Pro-Logic Technologies
When your Sony television or display develops screen defects such as vertical lines, flickering, discoloration, or partial black bands, the culprit is often a damaged COF (Chip on Film) board. At Pro-Logic Technologies, we specialize in professional Sony COF board repair and replacement services, restoring your television's picture quality at a fraction of the cost of a new panel or TV replacement.
What Is a COF Board and Why Does It Matter?
COF, or Chip on Film, technology connects the driver ICs directly to the flexible film bonded onto the LCD or LED panel. These COF boards control the pixels across your Sony TV screen. Over time, heat, physical stress, or manufacturing defects can cause the bonding between the COF chip and the glass panel to fail. When this happens, you may notice:
- Vertical or horizontal lines across the screen
- Double images or ghosting
- Flickering or intermittent display failures
- Black bars or sections of dead pixels
- Color distortion in specific screen zones
Many repair shops declare these issues unfixable and recommend a costly panel replacement. However, Pro-Logic Technologies has the advanced equipment and expertise to repair COF board faults precisely, extending the life of your Sony television.
Why Choose Pro-Logic Technologies for Sony COF Board Repair?
1. Specialized Sony Expertise
Our certified technicians are trained specifically in Sony TV architectures, including Bravia LED, LCD, OLED, and QLED models. Whether you own a Sony X90K, A80J, X950H, or any other model, we diagnose and repair COF-related faults with precision.
2. Advanced Repair Equipment
We use industry-leading bonding machines, pulse heat press systems, and ACF (Anisotropic Conductive Film) technology to re-bond or replace damaged COF chips. This ensures a durable, long-lasting repair that matches factory standards.
3. Genuine and Quality-Assured Components
When a COF board cannot be repaired, we source high-quality replacement COF films and driver ICs compatible with your specific Sony panel, guaranteeing reliable performance.
4. Cost-Effective Alternative to Panel Replacement
Replacing an entire TV panel can cost 70–90% of the price of a new television. Our COF board repair service typically saves customers 60–80% compared to full panel replacement, making it the smart, economical choice.
5. Fast Turnaround Time
We understand how important your entertainment is. Most Sony COF board repairs are completed within 3–7 business days, depending on part availability and the complexity of the fault.
