SCREEN DARK BUT SOUND PRESENT

The most common cause is a damaged LED strip. LED strips are connected in series. When one LED fails, the entire strip stops working. The television detects this and shuts down the backlight.

BACKLIGHT FLASHES THEN TURNS OFF

If the screen lights briefly and then goes dark, protection circuitry is activated. The television senses abnormal current. This usually indicates a shorted LED in the strip.

The LED driver sends power. It detects imbalance and shuts down immediately. This prevents damage to other components. This behaviour often corresponds with blink error codes.


DIM SCREEN OR LOW BRIGHTNESS

Repeated brightness changes indicate driver overheating. When temperature rises, the protection circuit reduces power. Once cooled, brightness returns.

If the screen remains completely black without flashing, the main board may not be sending the backlight enable signal. The LED driver requires this command to turn on.
